Heiko Achilles

  • Real estate developer – more than 25 years of leadership experience in the real estate industry, with a focus on the development of large-scale, mixed-use, first class projects for private and institutional investors;
  • International professional experience in Germany, Brazil and the Middle East;
  • Strategy Advisor and member of several Boards of international real estate investment and development companies, including Supervisory Board of Kortros (Renova) in Moscow;
  • Prior to setting up own companies: more than 15 years in senior and senior executive positions with sector-leading companies, including TishmanSpeyer Properties (in Germany and Brazil), Hines Interests and Dubai Holding (in the United Arab Emirates), elaborating project and corporate development strategies, establishing and leading organizational platforms and delivering various landmark projects;
  • Architect and Urban Planner, registered in Berlin, Germany;
  • Master degrees in Architecture and Urban Planning (University of Applied Arts, Vienna) and Urban Development/ Real Estate Development (Harvard University);

Claus Peter Rees

  • Born and raised in Germany, Konstanz;
  • 25 years of experience as advisor and facilitator for strategic investment and economic development in key growth markets;
  • Focus on real estate, infrastructure, and private equity in EMEA, Brazil, China, South-East Asia;
  • Previous senior management and executive leadership positions with organizations such as Al Qudra Holding (Abu Dhabi), Dubai Holding, Federation of German Industries (BDI), EXPO 2000 Hannover;
  • Specialties include business and market entry strategies, strategic portfolio management, economic cluster development, corporate real estate and multi-stakeholder management;
  • MA in International Management and BA in Socio-Economic Studies (Universitaet Konstanz) with further specialisation in International Law and Economics (SciencesPo Paris, Freie Universitaet Berlin);

Edson Yabiku – Partner

  • Born and raised in Brazil, Maringá;
  • 30 years of international experience as Architect, Urban Designer and Design Manager;
  • 25 years in senior positions with Foster+Partners, London, since 2006 as Partner;
  • Project portfolio includes a large variety of project typologies, scale, climatic and cultural contexts. Developed projects in the United Kingdom, Australia, USA, Oman, Qatar, Malta and Brazil and completed numerous works in Japan, China, Singapore, United Arab Emirates and Monaco;
  • Particularly focused on large-scale mixed use urban projects, sustainable and innovative design strategies, including Masdar Institute, Central Market and the Index in the UAE;
  • Started his professional career in Tokyo, working for 3 years with General Contractor Obayashi Corporation gaining site experience;
  • Professional license as Architect and Urbanist in Brazil (CAU);
  • Graduated in Architecture and Urbanism at the Federal University of Paraná in Curitiba;
  • Languages: Portuguese, English, Japanese.

Henrique Houayek

  • Born and raised in Brazil, Rio de Janeiro;
  • Architect and Urban Planner with over 12 years of professional experience;
  • In charge of design and planning coordination of multiple scale award winning national and international projects with in Brazil, South America, USA, Japan, and Antarctica;
  • PhD in Planning, Design and the Built Environment from Clemson University. With theoretical and practical work knowledge in architecture design and theory, urban design, and sustainability;
  • While working for AECOM, responsible for a series of projects for Rio 2016 Olympic Park in Rio de Janeiro Brazil;
  • Graduated in Architecture and Urban Planning at FAU, State University of Rio de Janeiro, licensed and registered in Rio de Janeiro (CAU);
  • Over 7 years of teaching experience in Brazil, USA, and Italy;
  • Languages: Portuguese, English, Spanish, Italian
